graphics software review and recommendations

PHOTOSHOP

Photoshop is an image editor/creator and designing software, this software gives you a large amount of features to edit your image, it uses layers the so it makes it easier to correct mistakes without deleting the whole image, they also act as filters or masks switching colours.
There are many advantages in being able to use Photoshop, one of them is being able to work in big companies and getting a degree the only down side is that it takes quite a long time to learn and master it.
There’s another features that allows you to change the image to “bitmap” mode which is mostly use for printing black & white logos, illustration etc.
Photoshop usually cost £20 per month for the annual plan, so you have to renew it every year.

SUMO PAINT

Sumo paint is another image editor but it’s not as technical as Photoshop, sumo paint is the closest app you can get to Photoshop, it is a cloud based app so you can store your work on the internet and it requires a fast internet connection for it to work properly.
One of the features for sumo paint are basics such as blur, clone, texts and many more, they’re not really hard to use as it is straight forward.
It is a free to use web app but you will need adobe flash 10 or higher, an account and a good internet connection otherwise it will lag.

 WINDOWS PAINT

Paint 2D is the basic app that used to come with windows, paint is the easiest out of all the apps as all there aren’t many features.
Unlike Paint 3D, paint 3D is more complex than the 2D version as you can change the view of your work and start drawing in 3D, if it’s your first time it gives you a tutorial on how things work, you also get templates to work on.
It is also very fun to use as it really stimulates your imagination.
Some people use it to crop images as it makes it fairly easy for their work instead of using other apps.
Paint is also free ass it comes with windows.
ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR

Illustrator is a program used by graphic designers to create vector images, the images usually are company logos or personal work.
Illustrator is popular for its feature called perfect pixel which allows the user to create pixels that are perfectly and automatically aligned to the nearest pixel grid which creates a clear and sharp lines.
It is mainly used for charts, graphs, cartoons etc. (the Simpsons), illustrator its quite hard to use but unlike Photoshop it only takes about 3 weeks to learn.
Adobe illustrator cost about £20 a month for the individual.

Recommendations
Now said all of that for unexperienced people I would recommend to start with sumo paint since it’s a “free version” of Photoshop, and it’s easy for beginners to use or paint 3D as you can do the same things, you can do simple things such as screenshotting your bank statement, paste It on sumo paint and crop it out.
For amateurs I would say to start using illustrator as it doesn’t take much long to get a hang on it and it’s fairly easy to create logos and stuff once you get used to the app.

Knowing how to use illustrator could open jobs as a graphics designer, you also have to be quite creative while using this app.
And for people with a lot of experience I would recommend to use Photoshop as it is quite complicated and it takes quite a long time to finish one project, with Photoshop you can manipulate the images and do whatever you want with it but of course it takes quite a long time to learn everything.
